Presenter at 🌟
the 108th Annual AATSP Conference
The American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP)
—the largest professional organization in the United States dedicated to educators of Spanish and Portuguese.
For more than a century, The American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) has been one of the leading professional organizations dedicated to advancing the teaching and learning of Spanish and Portuguese in the United States. Bringing together educators, researchers, and language specialists, the conference serves as a space where innovative ideas, research, and educational resources are shared to strengthen language education.
At the AATSP Conference, Ahvian The Creative™ bilingual series was featured through three presentations exploring bilingual storytelling, creativity, and social-emotional learning (SEL). Together, these sessions demonstrated how language learning can become more engaging, inclusive, and emotionally meaningful through storytelling, play, and hands-on experiences.
More importantly, the conference became the beginning of new collaborations. Today, the educators and specialists who presented alongside Ahvian The Creative™ continue to use the series in their own professional practice, bringing its strategies into classrooms, therapy sessions, and family literacy programs.

From the Author
“My intention has always been to create more than books. I wanted to create experiences where children can imagine, feel, create, and learn naturally in two languages. Seeing educators embrace these resources and adapt them to their own classrooms and communities is the greatest reward.”
